I use Trinity's wireless network to do online assignments, use social websites, such as facebook, and do research for various projects. I use the wireless network when I am somewhere other than my room and cannot use my ethernet cable. Trinity's wireless network provides social distractions due to the fact that social websites and forums are easily accessible through the wireless network, but it also provides students with academic help and the ability to use a computer anywhere on campus, which is a great advantage. I am very grateful that attend a University that has such as an excellent wireless network and that makes the network accessible to it's students.
Here is a link to an article about wireless networks on University campuses:

I have a friend that just transferred to Dartmouth. I have yet to hear how he likes the campus or if he has wireless, but it would be interesting to see if the university followed through.
Greg, great comment on the class blog. You really know alot about this stuff!
Nice entry and the article you linked to was very interesting. I agree, we are really luck to be at a school with great Internet. It's something I take for granted until I think about how much of a pain it would be without it.
